About Beach House
There are two owners of Bridge
House - James & Yong. We have been in this area
since the mid 80s. The house has two Master wings (A &
D) and two Guest wings (B & C) which are all connected
by elevated walkways. Below Master wing D, we have a large
open Sala for dining. The Sala is our dining room and social
center. Help yourself to refills of drinking water. Tea, coffee,
and plates of delicious Thai fruit is always on hand in the
Sala. There is also a kitchen, a bar, and a Japanese Tatami
room.
The owners started the planning of Bridge House in 1996; construction
began in 1998 and was completed in July 2000. A Thai construction
crew, headed by Lung Pan, built the house, after spending
five years building a new palace for the King & Queen
of Thailand.
Our house manager is Raywat. He can help
with most arrangements you may need. Raywat also runs the
coffee shop next door at Bo Bo's and can often be found there
when he is not home. Railay Beach Club (locally known as Lanka
Deng which means Red Roofs) is an association of about 20+
homes. Our club maintains an office and provides general services
to the members and guests.
We at Lanka Deng have chosen to run our
generator fors electricity at night from 6 pm to 6 am. Electricity
is not neccessary during daylight hours. If you have a computer
or require extra hours of electricity, they can be purchased
from the office. None of the houses at Lanka Deng have air
conditioning. We like to enjoy the sea breeze and we also
have fans in every room.
